Size & structure
Plan around what goes inside, including its weight. Side gussets, a flat bottom and reinforcement can be specified to suit the contents.
Custom Paper Bags
Custom printed shopping and gift bags for retail, salons, product launches and events. Thoughtful sizes, comfortable handles and a finish that fits your brand.
Concept mockups from the Wella bag projects. Final artwork, color and construction are confirmed for production.
Start with the bag
A simple logo can be enough. Or carry the design across the front, back and sides for a coordinated presentation.
Plan around what goes inside, including its weight. Side gussets, a flat bottom and reinforcement can be specified to suit the contents.
Explore smooth white paper, an uncoated feel or natural kraft. Use a restrained logo, full-color artwork or a brand-color background.
Choose the handle’s material and feel, then coordinate its color with the paper and finishing.

A soft cord, a flat textile handle or a simple paper loop. See how color and texture change the look, then explore the handle types below.
Color & texture
The flat textile samples show a range of neutrals, soft colors and brighter accents. Natural-colored handles can soften the look; a matching color keeps the presentation coordinated.
Color names and swatches are descriptive. Available colors and widths vary by handle material and order. We’ll confirm the selection with a physical sample when color matching matters.
Round or flat profiles
Choose a rounded cord or a flatter textile handle. The color reference above shows flat samples labeled 1 cm and 2 cm wide; the sage bag concept illustrates the look of a natural-colored cord.
Details to choose: handle profile, thickness or width, color and length.
A different cord finish
Polyester or polypropylene cord offers another rope-handle option. The braid and material affect its texture, sheen and feel.
Details to choose: material, braid, thickness and available colors.
Flat textile handles
Satin has a smooth, glossy look. Grosgrain has a ribbed texture and a more understated finish. Both create a different feel from round cord.
Details to choose: ribbon finish, width, color and length.
Familiar retail style
Paper twisted into a cord-shaped loop. A familiar choice for kraft or white retail bags with simple branding.
Details to review: handle color and the attachment inside the bag.
Simple, flat profile
A folded paper strip forms a wide, flat handle. An option to review for straightforward shopping, takeaway and event bags.
Details to review: handle width, placement and bag construction.
Built into the bag
A hand opening cut into the upper bag panels creates an integrated grip. The opening and reinforcement are planned with the bag itself.
Details to review: opening shape, grip clearance and reinforcement.
Matching an existing bag with a single cord or a particular threading pattern? Send a photo of the front, back and inside, or send a sample. We’ll confirm the cord path and attachment before quoting. Depending on the construction, options to review include knotted ends, retaining tips or concealed attachment within the folded top.
Choose a short hand-carry loop or ask about a longer handle. Specify the handle drop—the distance from the top of the bag to the top of the raised loop—along with cord diameter or ribbon width. A sample helps confirm the feel, clearance and color alongside the printed paper.
Strength comes from the whole bag. Paper, handle attachment and top and bottom reinforcement work together. Share the packed weight so the proposed construction can be evaluated for your contents.
Finding the fit
These are example dimensions, not a fixed size list. Share the product or package measurements if you need help deciding.
10.5 × 4 × 8.5 in.
Approximately · 267 × 102 × 216 mm
Width × depth × height
A starting point for smaller boxed products, beauty items and compact gift sets.
16 × 6 × 12 in.
Approximately · 406 × 152 × 305 mm
Width × depth × height
More room for larger packages, multiple products and event or retail purchases.
Leave room for the contents. Finished bag dimensions do not equal usable interior space. Allow for product packaging, tissue or inserts, and confirm the fit with a sample or mockup when needed. Height excludes handles.
The finishing details
Paper, printing and finishing work together. Send an existing specification or show us a reference you like.
Explore a quieter matte surface, a glossy finish or a softer tactile feel. The paper and converting method help determine the available options.
A foil logo or embossed detail can create a focal point. Placement, fine detail and proximity to folds should be reviewed before artwork is finalized.
Use the sides for a pattern, a short message or a second brand element. Interior printing can also be reviewed alongside the handle color and exterior finish.
A little more detail
A bag printed before it is formed offers more flexibility for artwork across panels, custom dimensions and finishing. Printing an existing bag works within that bag’s available sizes and printable areas. Quantity, artwork and timing help determine which route is practical.
Begin with the confirmed production dieline. Keep important text away from folds, seams, handle holes and glue areas. Supply vector logos when possible, identify critical brand colors, and separate foil or other finishing artwork. We’ll confirm the required bleed and safety areas for the selected construction.
Both depend on the size, paper, printing, handles, finishing and production route. Send your quantity and required delivery date early, including the destination. Proofing, samples, assembly and freight need to be included in the schedule. We’ll confirm what is achievable for your project.
Share the full presentation: product cartons, labels, inserts, printed cards and any packing or distribution needs. We can review the components together for fit, artwork consistency and color expectations across different materials.
Let’s work through it
Send a photo, artwork, an existing bag or the specifications you know. If the size or finish is still open, we can start with what you plan to put inside.
