Printed envelopes

Envelopes, made simpler.

Tell us what needs to go inside, how many you need, and what you would like printed. We can help narrow down the size, paper, window, flap, and production approach.

You do not need to know an envelope number or industry term. A sample, insert size, photo, or brief description is enough to begin.

Start with the insert

What are you putting inside?

That one answer usually points us toward the right envelope family. These are starting points, not rules.

The basic styles

Most projects fit one of four families.

  • Commercial Traditional business correspondence. Often available with or without a window.
  • Announcement Cards, invitations, notecards, and premium correspondence. A-style envelopes commonly have a broad square flap.
  • Booklet Opens on the long edge, making brochures, reports, and other larger pieces easier to insert.
  • Catalog Opens on the short edge and is often used for documents, catalogs, and heavier flat inserts.

Practical choices

Only decide what matters for the job.

If you are unsure, tell us how the envelope will be filled, sealed, and delivered. We can help from there.

Printing

As simple—or as branded—as needed.

Some envelopes need only a return address. Others carry a campaign or full brand system.

  • Black or one-color A straightforward choice for everyday correspondence.
  • Spot or brand color Useful when a specific logo or corporate color matters.
  • Full color For photography, illustration, campaigns, or more visual branding.
  • Variable information Addressing or personalization can be reviewed with the mailing plan.
Full bleed: designs that print to an edge may need to be printed before the envelope is converted. That can change minimums, cost, and lead time.

Paper & construction

Begin with how it should feel and work.

You do not need to sort through every paper or flap before contacting us.

  • White, natural, or colored Standard, warm, brand-colored, kraft, and specialty options can be reviewed.
  • Standard or more substantial A heavier stock may add presence and improve opacity.
  • Window or no window The window position must match the insert and mailing requirements.
  • Seal and flap Standard gum, peel-and-seal, clasp, and other closures may be available.
Paper, window, closure, recycled content, minimums, and lead time vary by size and source. We will confirm availability for the actual project.

Common starting sizes

A short list—not every possibility.

Dimensions are shown as height × width. Always allow clearance around the insert, especially when it is thick or will be machine-inserted.

Artwork & prepress

Please use the actual template.

Finished envelopes have folds, seams, flaps, windows, and production areas that can affect where printing belongs. Before final artwork, we can help confirm the correct envelope or template.

If the design is already complete, send it. We will review what you have and point out practical adjustments before production.

Ready when you are

Send us what you know.

A finished specification is welcome, but not required. An insert, old envelope, rough idea, or piece of artwork is enough to start. We can coordinate mailing through our mailing partners; mailing is not performed in-house.
