Experienced Zünd Digital Cutter Operator

Execuprint, a family-owned commercial printing company, is looking for an experienced Zünd operator to join our production team.

Available shifts & pay

• Morning shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  $24–$25 per hour
• Night shift: 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  $25–$27 per hour

Pay within each range depends on experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a Zünd digital cutting system.
• Prepare cutting files and select appropriate tools and settings.
• Cut and crease materials for signage, packaging, and retail displays.
• Check finished pieces for accuracy, clean edges, and consistent quality.
• Coordinate with prepress and production to meet deadlines and minimize waste.

Machine care & maintenance

• Keep the cutting surface, tooling, and surrounding work area clean and free of debris.
• Inspect blades, routing bits, creasing tools, and the cutting surface for wear; replace operator-serviceable consumables as needed.
• Perform routine tool calibration and setup checks according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete scheduled operator-level preventive maintenance and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and promptly report faults requiring qualified service. Communicate equipment condition and outstanding issues to the next shift.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on Zünd operating experience required.
• Working knowledge of routine Zünd maintenance, tool calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read job specifications and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and safe equipment operation.
• Experience with wide-format printing and packaging materials preferred.
